Fees & Refund Policy and Procedure (National Code Std 3)

Fee payment

Course fees are payable in instalments both pre and post course commencement. All students are required to pay FIC the full amounts of fee instalments as they fall due. Students are notified of fee payment schedules in writing pre course commencement in the Written agreement.

Flinders International College takes all reasonable steps to ensure we provide a course to International students once the student enrolment has been confirmed.

Fee refunds

Flinders International College has a fair and equitable refund policy. The enrolment fee is non-refundable in all circumstances (except student withdrawal on or before the course commencement date due to visa refusal or provider default).

Students who wish to cancel their enrolment at FIC must do so in writing and apply for a refund of unused fees paid to FIC at that time.

Refunds applications received after the student has enrolled at FIC but before they have commenced their course are calculated on a sliding scale based on the length of time prior to course commencement and the students visa status.

The amount of refunds paid to students after the student has commenced their course is calculated on a sliding scale based on the amount of fees paid to FIC and the amount of the scheduled course completed at that time.

In the unlikely event of Flinders International College being unable to fulfil its commitment to provide a course at the agreed date it will offer the International student a full refund of fees paid to date or re-schedule the course.

Any refunded amount due to a student will have an amount deducted for any applicable transaction fees, bank charges and currency exchange fees. Transaction fees, bank charges and currency exchange rates will be applied at the rate charged to the College.

The College is a member of the Tuition Protection Service (TPS). This means that the fees paid to the College are safeguarded if the College defaults on delivering the courses students are enrolled in.

The Tuition Protection Service (TPS) is an initiative of the Australian Government to assist international students whose education providers are unable to fully deliver their course of study.
